Finally a decent replacement Apple Remote

For many years the only complaint that I've ever had with the Apple TV was the remote.  Originally it was a thin silver piece that though was easy to hold it still would get lost or bent from forgetting that it was in a pocket.

Then they released the newer one that was...smaller!  what the hell! The only way to get a grip on the situation was to get some sort of silicone (pun intended)

This little slice of heaven comes from a company out of Sweden that makes life with the Apple TV a whole lot easier!  I mean, just look at it!!

iOS 6 Update

Apple on Monday released iOS 6.1, the latest version of iOS. It’s available for immediate download.

According to Apple, changes in iOS 6.1 include:

• LTE support for more carriers (a complete list of iPad and iPhone LTE carriers is available online).
• Purchase movie tickets through Fandango using Siri (USA only)
• iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs from iCloud
• New button to reset the Advertising Identifier

Finally

In previous versions of iOS whenever you looked at an SMS conversation the keyboard would obscure half the screen, and the only way to get it to disappear was to go to another conversation you hadn't responded to for awhile and then back into the one you wanted to read. 

In iOS 5 all you have to do is drag the message down so that when your finger drags into the keyboard, the keyboard will drop out of the way.

     My first computer experience was on a Apple Performer that my mom had owned.  For Internet it had a dialup to AOL.  Downloading a picture was considered an abuse of time and bandwidth because it would take a few hours at least.  Then, again my mother, gave me (for some reason) here 2 month old TiBook (Titanium Powerbook) and from OS X on this new powerbook I was hooked.  Everything seemed simpler and easier to use.  Computers became fun again and not some back room hobby any longer.  I never looked back or doubted the vision.

      Thanks again Mr Jobs for leaving us your toys to play with.
