We are little brother

     We've all been concerned in one way or another of Big Brother.  The fact that there is a camerera on every street corner nowadays, so frequently are we being watched, observed, or monitored that it has become expected in allot of way. The mainstream media as well as popular TV shows have dumbed us down to the idea that being monitored this much is actually good for us!?


     Let's step back, as the Generation X, that we are.  Like we say here at Fenix Media Group; You (government) told us that if we just created the technology, said nothing, moved along, we would be taken care of.  Suddenly people are starting to realize that things like the Patriot Act and other polices and laws like that are actually not there to help us, but to control and monitor us!  Wait, don't believe me??  Look around.
     Step back and actually close your eyes and think about living a single day 10 years ago.  Go on, run through your day.  Think about the technology you used, interacted with, where monitored by.  Try it.  I dare you.

     A lot has changed hasn't it.  So much so that we are a global society, that demands immediate information, that persecute each other over social media on a daily basis with Big Brother watching and tracking our every move, purchase,  Like, dislike, retweet, post, steps we climb, and anything else that keeps a database.  All of those things are safe until a CEO decides that profits are down so low that they need to sell they're database of information to a marketing firm so they don't have to answer to they're shareholders as to why the margin is in red.

     But it goes even further than that.  With recent cases of Police officers running around doing what they want, they can now ask you for any money that you have on you, and take it!  Lawfully!!  They can detain you under the Patriot Act for up to 72 hours….for no reason whatsoever!!  Legally. And now you see that when and if they actually do what is right, justified and legal in the "Protect and Serve" theory, they are run through the legal system, and whether they are acquitted or not, they will now be out of a job.  But don't worry.  They're still gonna get paid.

     Not every public official is corrupt, but it IS obvious that there is some sort of god complex going on .  Whether your talking about your local representatives getting special treatment around town, your state officials that seem to disappear after they get elected to the Government itself that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing half the time.  The police get to do what they want, they band together and protect each other. They for some reason need more and more swat support.  Apparently they now need military grade weapons and vehicles.

     Not all Police and officials are bad or corrupt.  But they are fewer and fewer of them now that actually care about we the people, or that wake up every morning wanting to protect and serve the community they live in.

My question is this….Who watches the watchers?

Insider Trading is ok if your a congressman

"Another reason to have no faith in Congress: insider trading is illegal unless you're a congressman 

This is one more egregious example of where Congress is not subject to the same laws they pass for the rest of us. It's high time that Congress had to use the same healthcare system and the same retirement system as the rest of the country, and to follow the same laws. 

It's a fundamental corruption of the system when those who make the laws don't have to follow them. Shame on Congress for allowing this, and shame on us for letting them get away with it".  -Tim O'Rielly

Amish Teen Spends Entire Rumspringa At Apple Store

PITTSBURGH—Since discovering the electronics retailer by chance at the beginning of his ritual period of experimentation outside the strict regimen of the Amish life, 16-year-old Isaac Stoltzfus has spent every day of his rumspringa at a local Apple Store, sources reported Monday. “This place is amazing! Everyone here is super-friendly, and they let me try out all these neat computers and phones and stuff without pressuring me to buy anything,” said Stotzfus, who reportedly can be seen at the store’s entrance at sunrise each morning, waiting for the doors to open. “I love the interactive displays and presentations, of course, but probably my favorite thing to do here is just stand back and take in the atmosphere of the whole place. I had no idea the modern world was so shiny.” Stolzfus added that he typically spends his entire day in the Apple Store, leaving only briefly to “head around the corner for a Jamba Juice.”  LINK

Pineberries

     What you see above are, genetically, common strawberries. They're a cultivar thereof -- a type of strawberry specifically cultivated due to the uniqueness of the variety present. Called "pineberries," these strawberries originally grew in South America and were almost extinct by 2003, but was saved by a group of Dutch farmers. The lone company to produce them claims that pineberries are actually the world's first strawberry, but that is probably more marketing spin than actual fact. If so, it's unneccessary, as pineberries have a built-in marketing hook, as the differences between pineberries and "regular" strawberriers is more than skin deep. Pineberries don't taste like normal strawberries. They taste like pineapples.
