Awesome Fan Built Akira Bike

Anime fan or not, the image of Shotaro Kaneda on his motorbike in Akira is an iconic image instantly recognisable to most people.   Akira fan Shinji Tejima from Fukuoka, Japan has spent $121,000 ( £75,000) turning his fantasy of owning the super cool bike into a reality by building an almost exact replica of Kaneda’s motorbike from the film.

Deckster

not sure how many of you guys remember what a cassette player looks like, but for those that do, this iPod nano watch strap/case dubbed Deckster by N-Product might bring back some fond memories. On the basic level, the Deckster is your typical iPod nano watch strap design with its case made out of aircraft grade aluminum. What makes it particularly unique is that it comes with an eject function, allowing it to pop up like tape recorders back in the day (as pictured above), allowing users to remove the iPod nano with relative ease.
It will be available in either black or red and will feature leather bands. While it certainly looks good and with the eject function probably being the most appealing, it does not come cheap. Deckster will come with a price tag that ranges between $150 to $165, and for more information or to place your order, head on down toDeckster’s website for the details.

LG to ship 55' OLED

LG plans to be the first company to launch a full-sized, OLED-based television. The ultra-thin 55-inch television is expected to ship as early as May. Of course, the only thing more impressive than the TV itself will be its asking price of about $7,928.91.

Onkyo WiFi Speakers

If you’re in the market for a new set of speakers, Onkyo might have something for you in the form of the GX-W100HV, a pair of bookshelf speakers that is more than meets the eye. Yes, if you were expecting a regular pair of speakers, you’ll be in for a surprise as the Onkyo GX-W100HV will sport DLNA support on top of everything else.
The master speaker incorporates 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and will utilize WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) to connect to your router. When the speakers are connected to your router, gadgets and devices that are DLNA capable should be able to find the speakers and connect to them. However if you already have a sound system set up that you particularly like, the Onkyo GX-W100HV can reportedly be incorporated to them via optical and analog inputs.
As far as the speakers’ specs are concerned, they are capable of outputting 15 watts per channel, with each speaker sporting a 12cm A-OMF woofer and a 3cm tweeter that has apparently been tuned for vocals in mind. The speakers are expected to go on sale in Japan come 18th of February for 40,000 Yen (~$520), although no word from Onkyo if they have plans to bring the GX-W100HV into international markets.

Self Cooling Can Plummets Thirty Degrees In Mere Minutes

Now you've probably heard of these self cooling cans before, and that's because they've actually been in development for over 18 years now. In fact, back in 1998 Pepsi was all set to use these same cans, but it was discovered that the refrigerant used contributed to greenhouse gases. So it was back to the drawing board for another 12 years while the company developed a suitable replacement that now uses environmentally-friendly activated carbon and carbon dioxide.

The science behind how the cans actually work seems like it's a closely guarded secret, but once the West Coast Chillers start popping up in stores for about $3 a can, I'm sure we'll have the opportunity to open one up and see how it ticks. But, since the cooling mechanism is recyclable, maybe we should just leave it a mystery.

The system is said to weigh only 2 ounces, have WVGA resolution with iOS compsite video, HDMI and USB interfaces on a rechargeable  control box with 4-hours of run time, and stereo in-ear earphones.
