You can certainly learn about the main philosophy of the Jedi by watching the Star Warsfilms, but if you want specifics, you're going to want this. The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force ($100) includes "writings" from ancient Jedi Masters, as well as personal commentary from more recognizable faces like Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Luke. The book itself arrives in a motorized vault and comes with multiple removable trinkets, similar to the Book of Sith ($60) — which is a must purchase for those looking to study the nuances of the Dark Side.

This might not be the droid that you are looking for, but it definitely is the luggage that you have been waiting all your life – ever since R2-D2 made its appearance back in the 1970s with the debut of Star Wars, enthralling the imagination of geeks and non-geeks worldwide in a grand space opera conjured by a very young George Lucas back then. Since then, we have seen our fair share of R2-D2 incarnations which appeal to the geek demographic, but Salvador Bachiller might be on to a winner here with his $100 R2-D2 luggage that has rollers at the bottom so that you can drag it along the next time you step into your Imperial Shuttle, er, Airbus A380.

Of course, it would be cooler if the relevant electronics that are smart enough could be incorporated into the R2-D2 luggage here, allowing it to follow you around like the tootin’ astromech droid that it was in the movies. Still, I am quite sure that hard core Star Wars fans would find this particular R2-D2 luggage a must buy, never mind what the missus has to say about it.

Here is a way for you to get your very own Death Star without running the Galactic Empire to the ground with a massive debt sinkhole that might just prove to be a bottomless pit in the end – that is, through the clever fusion of a freezer as well as some water. Of course, there is also the small issue of this silicone ice tray that comes in the form of a Death Star. Star Wars turns 35

On May 25, 1977, the world met a little movie called Star Wars. Dubbed Episode IV: A New Hope, the film launched us into the heart of what would become a sprawling universe — the epic brainchild of writer/director George Lucas. The groundbreaking special effects were matched only by the tug of the story and its endearing characters. Lucas’s galaxy set the bar for all subsequent sci-fi films, and the rest, of course, is cinematic history.

That was 35 years ago. The Star Wars franchise has expanded and evolved since then — for better or worse, depending on who you talk to. But there’s no denying its tremendous cultural impact. As fully accredited sci-fi nerds, we at Mashable could not let this milestone pass without celebration. Friday, we’ll hold a live eventright here on Mashable.com in honor of the 35th anniversary.
