Streaming was going to be the next big step in television viewing; the subscriber would be able to enjoy the television they pay for no matter where they are giving them total value for their television dollar. The industry has embraced streaming as I watched industry news working at DISH this year, and I guess I can’t say I was too shocked to see most providers going down the same road and locking streaming in the house after the embraced it. Including Cox, who not only keep it in the house, only give it to the subscribers that pay the most money, and only give them 35 streaming channels on their 10-inch iPad screen. In my house the living room has a 46 inch television, and the bedrooms each have 36 inch televisions, so they must want me to watch television in the closet and bathroom. I mean granted that 10 inch screen puts the 46 and 36 inch screens to shame, really it does. I think the best value is still the first streaming device released, the Sling Adapter. With it hooked up to my DISH receiver, my mobile device becaomes my television and receiver wherever I am in the world as long as I have signal. True TV Everywhere, not TV anywhere in the house.
